This is an intermediate no-sew crochet chick pattern that uses #6 bulky yarn, a 6mm hook and works up in less than 1 hour! It's a great addition to summertime markets or a great gift for any chicken owner!
I have also made it in #5 Big Twist Plush yarns and it turns out great.
The amount of details in the face are up to you, blush or eyelashes could always be added on!
This pattern uses basic stitches in US terms. Tutorials for any of the stitches could easily be found on YouTube. It also uses color changing to make this pattern entirely no sew. You only have to weave in the tail at the end!
You will need #6 yarns in white (or the main body color of your choice) and yellow, 6mm hook, or preferred hook, 12mm safety eyes (safety eyes are NOT intended for children under 3 years of age because they are a choking hazard!), a stitch marker, tapestry needle, stuffing and any extra yarns for detailing.
